My Finish Carpentry

Here's a little bit about the author of this blog, Ken O'Brien, in his own words:

"In 1995 I discovered the joy of stacking multiple moulding profiles together at a cramped and dusty molding supply store in downtown Seattle.

I walked inside the shop and was greeted by the owner -- face smudged with wood glue and saw dust, hair all astray and wearing a carpentry apron.

And in her hand she held a life changing thing: a crown moulding mock-up made from four separate pieces of mouldings.

I took one look at that thing in her hand and said something intelligent like, ooh, ah, pretty, how can me make too?

That day finish carpentry became my hobby and, ultimately, my profession.

Now I want to share what I've learned about finish carpentry with you."
